The Role - Overall Responsibilities:

To proactively provide expert support (to the Metier Contracts Manager – Functional Leader) undertaking reviews of contracts for proposals/bids, providing ad hoc execution support including claims management support and in the undertaking remotely of the role of Project Contract Manager for specific projects through, in addition to other duties, contract administration, anticipation, identification, evaluation and treatment of contractual risks and to manage contractual obligations.

Provision of expert support to the Metier Contracts Manager – Functional Leader in identifying, assessing and producing functional systems, tools and templates and promoting the use of the functional systems and processes.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competencies:

Essential Requirements
• Suitable qualification preferably Quantity Surveying.
• Fluent in French and English
• Sound knowledge of relevant Conditions of Contract
• Demonstrable ability to interpret Conditions of Contract and to synthesis these for use by others
• Demonstrable aptitude for contractual risk identification
• Knowledge and experience of claims production
• Experience in Contract Management of construction projects
• Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, including demonstrated ability to control meetings, prepare reports and present recommendations to high levels.
• Current driver’s license
• Energetic and ability to work on own initiative, and remotely from the project team
• Must be capable of working within a team and alone
• Must be diplomatic.

Experience

• 10-15 years overall experience in the Contract Management of construction projects for
• contractors.
• Proposals experience
• Claims production experience (Working knowledge of delay analysis would also be advantageous)
